The iPhone 16 series LCD screen is usually composed of five layers, including substrate, plate, liquid crystal layer, polarization layer and backlight.
1. Substrate layer
The basis of the iPhone 16 series LCD screen is the substrate layer. It is generally a transparent material made of glass or plastic, which serves as the basis of the liquid crystal layer and the plate.

2. Plate layer
The plate layer is a special glass with a layer of transparent conductive material coated inside. The conductive material in the plate allows current to flow through the liquid crystal layer and control the orientation of the liquid crystal molecules.

3. Liquid crystal layer
The liquid crystal molecules are the basis for displaying pixels on the iPhone 16 series LCD screen. The liquid crystal layer is a substance composed of these molecules. The molecules of the liquid crystal layer are arranged regularly. When the current is passed into the conductive layer, its direction can change the arrangement of the liquid crystal molecules, thereby changing the image displayed on the iPhone 16 series LCD screen.

4. Polarization layer
The polarization layer is an important component of the iPhone 16 series LCD screen. It is a transparent material that filters light in a specific direction in a specified direction, and identifies the image display by filtering the light. The polarization layer is usually divided into two layers, one is a vertical polarizing plate, and the other is a color polarizer that is dyed according to the pixel layer of different colors.

5. Backlight layer
The backlight layer refers to the light source behind the iPhone 16 series LCD screen, which is used to backlight the entire screen. Generally speaking, the backlight layer can be divided into two types: one is a cold cathode lamp (CCFL), and the other is an LED light source. CCFL has low brightness and a relatively short life, while LED has higher brightness and longer life.
